When can I not efile for a child?

Are there any restrictions on when one cannot e-file for a dependant child?

If a child as more than $1050 in earnings they are required to file. Can one e-file for them or do they need to mail in paper copies?

What about state returns?  Are there any states that do not allow for e-filing of dependant children returns?

You cannot efile a return if the child was less than 16 yrs old on 12/31/2018. This is an IRS rule. And you cannot efile state unless you efile Federal, so mail both.
