What if I paid for medical expenses for my dependent? Is that included in child or dependent care? My dependent is not disabled. Also I received 337 not 500 for dependent

No, medical expenses are not considered for the child and dependent care credit. Only expenses for someone to watch your child would qualify, such as daycare, babysitting or after-school care. I'm not sure what you mean by receiving 337 not 500 for dependent.

The Other Dependent Credit is a non-refundable credit. This means that it can take your tax liability down to $0, but not less than $0.   Once that number hits $0, there is no further benefits from any additional non-refundable credits.

If you look at your 1040 line 16, you will likely see that the number is $0.  If you remove your dependent, that number would change back to $337.
