What deductions can I take as a performer and actress?

Can I write off the mileage to and from rehearsals, performances, shoot locations and events?

Do you do this professionally, or as a hobby?

Professionally. I've been paid 1099 from three different companies.

Yes.  As a professional performer / actress, you may write off any related expenses and mileage traveling to rehearsals and performances as long as they are "ordinary" and " necessary" for your acting business. For tax purposes, you are treated as independent contractors, not employees and will require to file schedule C as a sole proprietor. There are many related deductions you may take to reduce your taxable income for the year, and thereby reduce your taxes. I am attaching the following link for those possible deductions you can take for your acting business.
