We replaced windows in our home but it was a lump sum contract ($50k+) that does not break out the product cost - can I get the Energy Efficiency Home Improvement credit?

I believe the windows meet the requirements, but what amount do I enter for cost? I max out the credit even if I'm only entering 4% of the contract total.

Yes.  You would be able to claim the credit if they meet the requirements, however, it would be a good idea to contact the installer to get a breakdown of the windows versus labor.  If they will not give you one, you can potentially search the cost of the windows you had installed online and then use that as your basis for the credit.
