We purchased a charitable gift annuity from a college foundation. Do we need to file form 8283. Per the foundation, our deduction is over $38,000?

Can we file our return without form 8283 for the purchase of a charitable gift annuity with a deduction of over $38,000?

Form 8283 is required for all non-cash donations over $500. Cash contributions are not reported on Form 8283.

Just remember though, , you must obtain and keep in your records a contemporaneous written acknowledgment from the qualified organization indicating the amount of the cash and a description of any property contributed.
