We moved back to the United States from working overseas in the middle of 2017. Does TurboTax take into account foreign taxes paid when we file our US Federal & State?

Yes, when you enter your foreign income you will continue on with the interview questions and it will allow you to enter foreign taxes paid. To enter Foreign income and Taxes paid do the following:

  1. Click Federal Taxes
  2. Income & Expenses
  3. Scroll down and click Show More next to Less Common Income
  4. Click Start next to Foreign Earned Income and Exclusion
  5. Answer all questions and continue through to the end
