W-2 BOX 12 CODE P - (excludable reimbursed moving exp) as I fill in the W-2 info. the program seems to be working correctly up to the point where I’m asked (their or two location already recorded on your return which one applies.) If I choose other the refund amt. stays the same if I choose Ukraine my refund decreases by $1300. I thought the amt. was with code P was not taxable.
W-2 Info: Box 1- amt $291, Box 12- code P amt $4643.64. My husband was a gov’t employee who moved to the Ukraine and worked for the US Embassy.
What do I choose and is the amt. in box 12 taxable?
