Vehicle expense

My husband is a truck driver and he used two different trucks during 2021, how can he deduct expenses for both? combining all expenses, or they need to be reported separately?

Both of them need to be reported separately. Your husband can take a deduction for the expenses incurred while doing business. It is advisable to keep expenses separate for both the vehicles for record tracking purposes, since in the future the IRS may ask for documentation and it would be easier to provide the breakdown for both the vehicles.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes we have all deductions documented and separated for each vehicle.
