Using self employed online version, entering form 8814 info for kids. The 1099-div I received shows a non-zero amount for line 6, Foreign Tax paid. Where do I enter this?

To add your child's foreign tax paid deduction from Form 1099-DIV, line 6, you must file a separate tax return for your child.

Form 8814 (Parents' Election to Report Child's Interest and Dividends), only records a child's interest, dividends, capital gain distributions and or nontaxable distributions.

To add Form 1099-DIV, Boxes 2b-11

1. Sign In or Open TurboTax.

2. Select "Take me to my return" (Online).

3. Select "Search" or "Help" icon (top right of screen)

4. Type "1099-DIV" and select "Jump to 1099-DIV"

5. Add your 1099-DIV, 4 boxes will be displayed

6  To add amounts from Form 1099-DIV, boxes 2b-11,

check the box underneath Qualified Dividends (Box 1b), which reads:

"My form has info in more than just these boxes (this is uncommon).

I do not have a 1099-DIV form in TurboTax; I am entering the 1099-DIV data as part of the Q&A under Federal/Less Common Income/Child's Income.  So it is info that will end up on Form 8814. The Turbo Tax   questions are similar to the 1099-DIV except I don't see one for this line item.
