Using HSA funds to pay for donor eggs retrieval for IVF

I am not yet married to my fiancé, but we are planning to get donor eggs for IVF. I would like to pay for this with my HSA, but am unsure if it's eligible for a man since it is for donor EGGS.  If the benefit is counted towards her, since it would replace her eggs, is it still eligible to us as a couple if we are not yet married, sometimes these benefits only count toward spouses.

This article makes me think it would not be eligible

You can’t use your HSA funds for the medical expenses of anyone but you, your spouse or your dependents. Interesting question that you would be buying the eggs for a non eligible person but the eggs benefit you, too. I doubt that would be accepted by the IRS.
