TurboTax is frustrating. Why can I edit a childcare credit? My son is does not qualify and I need to change that.

You edit his information in the My Info section of the program.  If he is age 17 or older he is not eligible for the Child Tax Credit, but is eligible of the Other Dependent Credit of $500.

If he doesn't qualify, there is a reason!

You can make adjustments in My Info

1. Select My Info or Personal Info
2. Click the down arrow next to your name
3. You can see your information
4. Scroll down to your son
5. If you need to change it:
6. Choose [Revisit]
7. Make the changes necessary
8. Continue the interview to
