turbotax 1040 x

I am amending my 2020 return to add a 1098 t and a subequent 8633 form that I did not do on my original return. filed March of 2021.   The only information that I am entering is from a one 1098T form.  I am thinking I  should receive a 2500 American opportunities credit when i complete.

issue I am having is that once I entered the information in turbotax amended return section, I went to review and print the amended return.  Turbo automatically populated a reduction of my income of $10200.  This provided me an additional $2240 reduction in taxes.  I think this 10200 credit to AGI is from a Biden declaration that came late in the game that the first 10200 of unemployment income is tax free.  Problem is I compensated for this 10200 amount from my original return.  It appears Turbo tax has a built-in income credit amount of $10200 on the 1040x.  I cannot figure out how to remove this 10200 amount.   I called the listed turbotax help  hotline phone number but the tech said I needed to contact the technical programing department which I cannot find a number or contact information.   Does anyone know how to remove this AGI built in credit income reduction on a1040x?

Thanks in advance,

you can't.  if you filed before the UC exemption kicked in, then the IRS automatically adjusted your refund for it. so check line 18 on the amended return which should reflect the corrected refund.

if you manually put in the $10,200 reduction besides what TurboTax created automatically (in other words the $10200 subtraction is in twice)   go back and delete your manual adjustment.
