Travel and Event Planner - Event Location Deduction

I'm a travel and event planner.  If I use my home for a class I'm teaching, hosting events, and promos, can I use the comparison of a local hotel meeting room and deduct "meeting space" from Schedule C?  What category would I list it under?  Local hotel is charging $150 for 4 hours.

No.

You cannot deduct this as there is no out-of-pocket expense.

If you are self-employed and you use your home on a regular basis, you may be eligible for a home office deduction.
