Tax Year Prior to 2020: Which business code do I use as an independent driver? Noticed driving for Uber/Lyft has a different code than delivering food for GrubHub. Need number for my Schedule C.

Would I need to file 2 separate Schedule C forms for each mode of transportation?

You can combine them on the same Schedule C as long as you are the sole proprietor of both sources of income.  If you prefer to separate out the income/expenses for each, you may also do it that way.

Use the business code of the primary source of income for the Schedule C (if combining).  The following link has a long list of codes starting on page C-16 of these Instructions for Schedule C.

485300 Taxi & limousine service (for Uber/Lyft)

492000 Couriers & messengers (for delivery)
