Tax Year Prior to 2020: My husband has a new job in Denver, but he has postponed the start of his new job until June 2017. Can I deduct moving expenses even though we are not moving for 64 days?

If you paid them in 2016, you can probably deduct them for that year.  Please see the link below.  They are deducted in the year paid or incurred if you are not reimbursed for the moving expenses.   If you are reimbursed for the expenses you can deduct your expenses either in the year you paid them or in the year you received the reimbursement.   This IRS Publication may be helpful too as it give examples IRS Pub 521 Moving Expenses
