Tax Year Prior to 2020: I have a medical sharing accout, can I deduct what I paid for medical costs even if they helped me pay my bills?

From my understanding, the premium paid monthly is not deductable as Christian Healthcare Ministries is not an insurance,
so when others share with me to pay for my bills, is this a deduction for medical expenses? This all goes through Christian Healthcare Ministries.

You can deduct the portion of the bills that you paid for out of pocket for your medical bills. Medical expenses are an itemized deduction on Schedule A and are deductible to the extent they exceed 10% of your adjusted gross income (AGI). If you are 65 or over, they are deductible to the extent they exceed 7.5%  Please click here for more information: https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc502.html

There was a similar discussion here: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-credits-deductions/discussion/can-i-claim-medical-expenses-if-they-were-reimbursed-by-a-health-care-sharing-ministry/00/712902#

I would go there for a helpful comment by JulieH1 several comments into the thread.
