Tax Form Line 35a showing more than I was given

My 1040 tax form shows on line 35a a refund of 1,072 as what was to be refunded to me. I did not receive that amount. I received 488. I am an independent college student who did not receive the first or second stimulus check and fills all eligibility criteria for the refund rebate credit which seems to not have been applied to my refund. Is there anything that I can do to resolve this? I filed an amended tax return to specify I had not received any recovery rebate credit nor the first, second stimulus and that amended return was approved by the recovery rebate still was not factored into the final refund. Is there anything I can do about this?

Wait for a letter from the IRS.  They may have decided that you did not meet the requirements to be Independent, or perhaps they changed something else entirely.
