Summary of deductions shows zeros on each line item yet a total more than standard deduction

On the page "Here are your 2019 and 2020 deductions and credits", each deduction line item shows zero for 2020 and yet there is a total of $14,350.   The "good news" is that I'm getting the standard deduction of $14,050.  Why?  This is very confusing.

When I change my deduction on the next screen, I get a total itemized deduction of $13, 019.  On the summary page, the amount of each deduction shows up with a total of $13,319.

In both cases, there is a $300 difference that is unexplained.

Should I close my eyes and assume TurboTax is correct?   I would really like to see a worksheet that calculates the itemized deduction and compares it with the standard deduction.  Is there one?

The federal standard deduction for filers under the age of 65 is $12,400 (single), $24,800 (married-joint), $18,650 (head of household).

You will have a chance to review Schedule A, which is the itemized deduction schedule, before you file your tax return after you pay for your TurboTax program.

What may be happening is that your computer is not interacting properly with TurboTax. You can try clearing the cache and browser history in your computer and that may resolve the issue. Her is an article that may help you with this:
