While preparing my taxes, Turbo Tax created Form 8949 and said I would need to submit it separately. When I filed my return (which contained Form 8949) electronically, Turbo Tax gave me no instructions about 8949.
I have since discovered form 8453 which is for submitting 8949, though it says I would be using it "if you elect not to report your transactions electronically on Form 8949." As best I can tell, form 8949 WAS submitted electronically by TurboTax (but I can't verify that.)
What should I do?
