Are estate taxes paid on a state 706 return a deduction on form 1041?

per 1041 instructions

Don't deduct:
• Federal income taxes;
• Estate, inheritance, legacy,
succession, and gift taxes;  (federal or state)
• Federal duties and excise taxes; or
• Foreign real property taxes.
