Solar credits…can you upload proof when submitting?

I bought a Tesla in 2019.  Claimed the credit when filing.  Got auditted where they ask for proof of purchase…easy enough…unless the entire IRS is not working due to covid and after you send in proof TWICE and get a USSenator involved, someone FINALLY OPENS THE MAIL and concurs we deserved the credit.

 

fast forward 2:years and we install solar panels.  When I file in Turbotax is there a way to upload my proof of purchase so I dont get stuck waiting on an irs guy to audit us for proof and delay the credit?

No. There is currently no way you can upload any supporting documents such as a proof of payment. We will need to keep our fingers crossed that you don't get audited again because it is a painstaking process.
