So I owed back child support when I filed but had it all dropped this past Friday. Will the IRS still take out for the child support I owed or will they catch it before they issue my refund

It depends on if an offset was scheduled before you paid the past due child support. You must contact the Treasury Department of Financial Management to find out if there has been an offset placed against your refund (800) 304-3107. If your refund is intercepted, then you may need to contact the child support office to get a refund.
