So i am a mechanic and have bought tools and work shoes off of amazon is that ok to use as work related tools

I tend to buy a lot of my tools from amazon being the timely matter of receiving them as well as buying from tool trucks. are all of those the same no matter where i buy it from.

If you are a W-2 employee you cannot deduct job-related expenses on your federal tax return. Your state tax laws might be different.

If you are self-employed then your tools etc can be entered on your Schedule C with your other business expenses.
