Should I say my dependent's MAGI = $0 for the purpose of the Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A) interview question?

My dependent daughter made $9777 earned income and $2 Dividend Income = $9779 MAGI so I dont believe she is required to file taxes except to claim a federal tax refund.

During the interview for the Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A) Turbotax  "asks What's your child's modified adjusted gross income (MAGI)?"

Since she is not required to file Federal taxes (Except fot the refund) Should I answer the question by saying MAGI = 0?

Yes, you can skip this line. According to the instructions for Form 8962 to calculate the premium tax credit, "complete line 2b only if your dependent(s) is required to file an income tax return. You enter your and your spouse's (if filing a joint return) modified AGI on line 2a. If you are not required to complete line 2b, enter your modified AGI from line 2a on line 3."

The best way to indicate this on your tax return is under Let us know if these situations apply to you after entering your 1095-A, leave the box I have at least one dependent on my taxes who's filing a separate return blank. This is true even if she is filing a return for a refund of the federal taxes withheld.

That makes complete sense  but can  you please clarify:

Should the question have been asked this way:  " I have at least one dependent on my taxes who is required to file a separate return"

Yes, I think asking it in this way would provide a little more clarity. Clicking on the Learn More does add a little more explanation, but I agree that the wording could be improved.
