Rejected 5695 (Married filing single)

Hello,

I have 3 questions re: this morning's (3/2) Joint Occupancy issues.

1) I realize that my husband will now need to fill out a 5695 form when he files, so that will completed. I also corrected my form electronically to reduce the cost of my portion paid. Was that correct?

2) Did that 5695 Form issue also affect my State Form ..also rejected but no reason supplied by TurboTax.

3) Since I reduced the cost of energy Qualified Energy Improvements on my form..I resubmitted both forms.  Was that a mistake should I have just waited until 3/17 when I think the "fix" or occur and will I be Charged Again for resubmitting forms again today??

Thanks,

This return can't currently be processed for e-filing due to Joint Occupancy on Form 5695.  This is due to a processing error that will be corrected on March 27, 2025. On or after March 27, 2025 open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing. If you don't want to wait until March 17, you may print the return and file by mail.
