Recovery Rebate Credit problem

I claimed the Recovery Rebate Credit in TurboTax because it said I was eligible. The IRS denied my claim for some reason. I filed my tax and my mother's.  Separately, of course. She was denied as well. If TurboTax says that you are eligible, you should get a rebate, right?

Per IRS:

The 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit has the same income limitations as the third Economic Impact Payments. No credit is allowed if the adjusted gross income (AGI) amount on line 11 of your 2021 Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR is at least:

  • $160,000 if married and filing a joint return or if filing as a qualifying widow or widower
  • $120,000 if filing as head of household or
  • $80,000 for all others.

Did you and your mom receive the third stimulus check?

TurboTax will ask you if you received the third stimulus check. You might qualify for the Recovery Rebate Credit if you didn't not receive the third payment or if you didn't receive the full amount.

Thanks for replying. No, neither of us received the 3rd check. I just answered the questions after learning that we could apply.
