Question - working from home since March due to pandemic. My office permanently closed at the end of November. How do I handle home office deduction?

It looks as if I can only claim December as a home office deduction. Is this correct?

The recent tax law prohibits employees from deducting a home office.

Employee. Office closed for good on 11/30 but that was planned long in advance of pandemic. Working from home since March.  Thanks
