Purchased a brand new motorcycle last year. How much or what part of the expenses can I use on my taxes? I use it half of the year as my commuter vehicle.

There's not much you can claim. You can only deduct the sales tax you paid when you purchased the vehicle, by adding it to the Sales Tax Table amount for your state, and the vehicle registration fees that you paid if your state bases the fee on the value of your bike. Those expenses are deductible only if you itemize, and in the case of sales tax, it must be higher than the state income tax that you paid.

Commuting expenses aren't deductible, so you won't be able to claim any expense for mileag
