Own home can I deduct taxes, it’s asking for a lender . What if I do not have one ?

Yes, you can deduct property taxes as a home-owner as an itemized deduction on Schedule A. You can also deduct mortgage interest paid.

To enter this deduction, you will need to upgrade to TurboTax Deluxe.

To enter in TurboTax

Go to Deductions & Credits

Click Your Home

TurboTax will walk you through all the possible deductions.
