Other Miscellaneous Expenses summary shows less then ammount entered

Home and Business > Business Income and Expenses > Other Miscellaneous Expenses

 

I am confused as to why the total amount I enter in to OME shows the amount minus $214 on the summary page.

Example:

Enter Expenses:

Description | Amount

Item A | $500

Item B | $500

 

Summary Page (Business Income and Expenses)

Other Miscellaneous Expenses: $786 <- I expect this to be $1000 but it is not

(Also if the total is $214 or less then the summary shows $0)

 

I am not seeing anything that explains why this is happening, is it a bug or is there math being applied from a source I cannot find?

Thank you every one for the questions and prompts, they led me in the right direction to find the issue.

I had included a Start-up Expense on the IRC195 that was being subtracted from the Miscellaneous Expenses, I removed it because it is better else where and now the Miscellaneous Expenses is showing $1000 on the summary. Thank you everyone.

To clarify, can you look at your Schedule C line 48?

Or go back to the section and look at your entries. 

Check to see if somehow a negative -214 was listed somewhere

Where are you seeing the reduced amount? 

Do you report or show any credits or other entries in the amount of 214?

Just a thought:

When you started your return, did you transfer 2023 info into your 2024?

In Forms Mode, can you look at the back of your actual Schedule C (not the Schedule C Worksheet) and in Part V of the actual Schedule C is there any anomalous entry showing up not reflected on the Worksheet?
