On the form from Schwab they show tax withholding on a mandatory merger sale and I can't find a place to put that info which will have an impact on what's owed. help!

On the screen where you enter the transaction for Schedule D, look for a button to check for “Taxes were withheld for this (This is not common)” so that you can enter the withholdings.
