On my wife's W2, in box 12b the code is T, we have $1,300 but that money was not for adoption, it was for IVF treatment. How can I eliminate the adoption credit option.

You can leave the code T entry off of your W-2 entry if it is in error and that may resolve your issue. However, the best course of action would be to get your employer to correct the W-2 form.
