On my 1099-DIV form, I have foreign taxes paid. What do I need to enter for 'Foreign dividends received'? I only have 1a, 1b, 7, and 8 filled in 1099-DIV.

Generally, when a 1099-DIV is sent out, they usually send an accompanying statement that tell you for certain things, such as US Govt Interest, Foreign Sourced Income, etc., etc.

What you have to do is find where they say that...they usually express it as a percentage.  For example, they might say 15% of the amount in box 1a is foreign sourced income.

You will have to calculate that amount
