My contributions for medical, dental and vision were not subtracted from my w-2. Shouldn’t those contributions lower my w-2 wages?

Yes. Form W-2, Box 1 is used to report total taxable wages. If your employer deducts the employee's share of medical, dental, and vision premiums from the employee's pay on a pre-tax basis, then the wages in Box 1 should be reduced by the amount of such pre-tax premiums. Employee's pre-tax contributions to a 401(k) plan would also reduce wages reported in Box 1.
