My 2024 federal return itemizes deductions, but my Maryland return forces standard deductions. The Maryland standard deductions are lower than my itemized deductions. Is there a bug in the TurboTax program? How can I fix this issue?

There are itemized deductions included on your Federal tax return that are not allowed on your Maryland tax return.

State and local income taxes are not allowed as a deduction on your Maryland tax return and it sounds like TurboTax is choosing the Standard Deduction because it is higher than you itemized deductions once they are subtracted.
