My 1099-SA shows total distributions for my wife and I were $6340. In the HSA summary, it shows the entire distribution under my name. Does it matter who it was spent on?

The 1099-SA is in my name and that is how I entered it in TurboTax even though the distributions were for both myself and my wife.  Do I have to split it into what was paid for each of us or doesn't it make a difference?

Do not worry about which spouse the distributions were made for.

It sounds like you two have only one HSA, which is in your name (since HSAs are individual trusts similar to an IRA, your spouse could have one, too).

It does not matter to your HSA if you spent money on yourself, your spouse, your dependents, or whatever.
