Medical deduction for daughter

I paid medical insurance premiums for my daughter first 10 months of 2016 until she turned 26, about $3,000 total. Don't think she is considered a dependent since she has a job and pays her own bills like rent. How/when do I show the $3,000?
Can I add the $3,000 to my medical expenses? If I do, will pass the standard deduction limit.

Unless you provided over one half of your daughter's support in 2016, you cannot claim her as your dependent.

If you cannot claim her as your dependent, you cannot deduct her medical/ medical insurance expenses.
