Let's enter HSA contributions, box 12, not sure how to enter deductions.

Not sure how to enter HSA contributions, 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d from W2.

It can be a little confusing.  On your W-2, the Box 12 code W amount includes both the employer and employee pre-tax contributions, including incentives.  If you contributed to your HSA only through payroll deductions, do not enter them anywhere else in TurboTax.  Most likely, the program is asking if you made, on your own (independent of your employer) contributions to your HSA account. These after-tax contributions would need to be entered in order for the deduction and Form 8889 to calculate properly. On your HSA summary page, you will see Tax-free employer contributions, but it means both employer and employee contributions in total. It is just how the IRS codes it (Box 12 W) See attachment.
