IVF PGS and PGD Testing

I've been reading that the expenses for IVF, prescriptions, and cryo expenses can be included as medical expense deductions, but I wasn't sure if the testing of the embryos could be included. The PGS testing on the embryos looked for chromosome abnormalities and the PGD testing looked to see if the embryos had the specific disorder that I carry. There were costs to build the PGD test and then there were costs to actually test the embryos. Is any of this testing able to be included as a medical expense deduction?

Since the tests are used to diagnose a disease the costs are a qualified medical expense for the medical deduction if you itemize.  You can only deduct an amount of medical expenses greater than 7.5% of your AGI.
