It ssays, "Since my spouse is itemizing deductions, you cannot claim the standard deduction and must itemize." does that mean me, right now, or has he already filed?

With MFS, you must coordinate your deductions, both Standard, or both Itemized.

 

If you got this message with REJECTED, he already filed.
