Is there any reason to enter charitable receipts if I am not itemizing?

I'm not itemizing (but I do have a schedule C).  Is there any reason to bother entering all of my charitable receipts?  They won't make any difference towards pushing me over the standard deduction amount.

If your itemized deductions will be less than the standard deduction for your filing status, there is no reason to be entering the charitable donations.

Actually, I found a reason to enter them--for the state return.  Some states (like mine, California), have lower standard deductions than the federal amounts, so entering charitable donations might generate tax savings on the state return.
