Is there a way to view the state return before filing? Amount of tax owed in state where I own property but am a nonresident) makes no sense but I cannot find the error?

I am sure the issue is the amount of income being pulled in that is only relevant in Ohio but I can't figure it out without seeing the income number being used

You can preview the information on your 1040 form or the Tax Summary for your state return by clicking on My Account, in the upper right-hand corner, on the blue bar.

  • Select Tools
  • Then select View Tax Summary, first on the list under Helpful Links.  This will show basic information about the return.
  • For State Tax Summary in the upper right-hand area, on the white strip, click on the name of your state Tax Summary
  • For Federal 1040 preview In the upper right-hand area, on the white strip, click on Preview My 1040
  • This will show a picture of the information on the tax form and there is a vertical scroll bar on the right-hand side, to scroll down the return.

After you have paid for TurboTax, if you would like to print a copy of the entire return or download it as a pdf onto your computer. You may select only forms you file or all forms and worksheets.
