Is the disaster relief payment the same as the stimulus from covid-19?

TurboTax is asking me if I received a disaster payment and it says something about the covid-19 payment do I add my stimulus payment to this as income?

What state?  For california you do not need to enter the CA Middle Class Tax Refund.  It is not taxable.  Just keep the 1099Misc in your records with a copy of your tax return.

Be careful.  There is a question that refers to disaster payments but it refers to taking money out of a retirement account during covid-19.   If you did not take money out of a retirement account you say NO to that question.  Stimulus payments and/or state payments related to the pandemic are not taxable on your federal return.  In fact, there is no place to enter anything about federal stimulus payments on a 2022  federal tax return.
