Is my child enrolled in a program that leads to a degree

Turbotax won't let me manually change #3 "Was this student enrolled in a program that leads to a degree? " to a yes.  It also has #4 Was the student taking courses as part of a post secondary degree...? as a Yes. None of these questions were asked in student interview.  Just asked if it was their first year..which it was not. How can I get it to the correct answer for #3?

Review the entries related to your 1098-T. 

 

To enter qualified education expenses in TurboTax Online:

  • Under Federal, click on Deductions & Credits
  • Under Education, click on Start/Revisit next to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T)
  • You can Edit the information

If you continue to have trouble, you may want to delete the form and re-enter:

  • From the menu on the left, choose Tax Tools
  • Click on Tools
  • Select Delete a Form
  • Scroll through the forms and click Delete next to any 1098-T or 1098-T Wks

Now that you have deleted the previous entries, return to the Deductions & Credits section and enter the education expenses are requested on the screens.
