Is Medicare Advantage considered private health insurance?

I found my answer after some searching.  Medicare Advantage is NOT private.  When filling out the TurboTax form the question is to choose either "UserName has private insurance" or "UserName has something else."  Selecting "UserName has something else" opens a sub menu which lists MediCare and amplifies that by saying it includes MediCare Advantage and MediGap plans.
