Is childcare and child support the same thing on this website? Is child care and child support the same thing on this website?

Paying child support that was ordered by a court or an agreement between the parents and paid directly to the parent of the child is not entered on a tax return.

Child and Dependent care is if you pay someone to care for the child while you are at work.

No, childcare is paying a person or a business to look after your dependents' while you work or go to school. Paying for childcare may get you a tax credit. Follow this link for more about claiming a childcare credit.

Child support is a payment made due to a legal agreement, or a court order to support your children. Paying child support doesn't go on your tax return.
