Is anyone else having trouble double clicking on From 1116 to get a Foreign Tax Credit? It will not let me double click. I want to get the credit.

In TurboTax Online, you may access the foreign tax credit by following these steps:

  1. Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
  2. Down the left side of the screen, click Deductions & Credits.
  3. Click the down arrow to the right of Estimates and Other Taxes Paid.
  4. Click to the right of Foreign Tax Credit.

In TurboTax Desktop, you may access the foreign tax credit by following these steps:

  1. Across the top of the screen, click Federal.
  2. Across the top of the screen, click Deductions & Credits.
  3. Select I'll choose what I work on.
  4. Click to the right of Foreign Taxes.

Thanks, I have done all of that several times - gone through and answered all the questions for the Foreign Tax Credit.

When reviewing return, it brings me to a page of the return to selection Schedule A or double click for Form 1116.

Nothing happens when I double click on it.  I do want Form 1116. The amount is over $300.

Schedule A is useless.

It's an error that won't let me complete my return.

At this point I will have to lose the $700 Foreign Tax Credit to complete my return since it will not allow me to double click on the return to get the Form 1116.

Schedule A is useless to me.

I've got it figured out. During the process of answering the questions on each page about Foreign Tax Credit, I needed to select the Report Income button.

All done. Thx.
