Is an afterschool coordinator able to receive the teacher credit for program experiences?

I do not work in a classroom but in afterschool we provide activities for students from k to 5th grade. Do these expenses qualify for the teacher credit/deduction?

No. 

 

You have to work as a teacher, instructor, counselor, principal, or classroom aide, work with students in kindergarten through grade 12, and complete at least 900 hours of work during the school year.
