Income limit for dependent child to file a return

My dependent made $8300 last year while in college full-time. Can I still claim her on my taxes? Should she her own taxes?

If she was 23 or under, you can still claim her. She has to file her own return to report her income. Make sure that she checks the box saying that she can be claimed on someone else's return.
