In KY when adding the vehicle registration, can you add motorcycle registration fees?

Yes, you can, even though references you see in TurboTax may refer to "car registration fees."

 

Since the vehicle registration fee you paid in Kentucky is based on your vehicle's value, you're able to deduct it.

Bearing in mind that references to "car" can also include "motorcycle," you can enter your vehicle registration fees in TurboTax Online following these steps:

1. Open TurboTax Online
2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
3. On the  Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the Deductions & Credits box, then select Start, Continue, or Pick up where you left off
4. On the  Your tax breaks page, scroll down and select the dropdown to the right of Cars and Other Things You Own
5. Select  Start or Revisit to the right of Car Registration Fees
6. Answer  Yes on the Did you pay any car registration fees in 2023? page 
7. Provide all relevant information requested in the interview
